*Note About Hashrate:

During the R&D process of developing Mein Coffee, we quickly discovered that achieving the perfect balance between hashrate and temperature management is both an art and a science.

Mein Coffee operates on the principle of “target temperature” rather than “target hashrate.” This means the device focuses on maintaining a consistent temperature, adjusting the hashrate dynamically to avoid overheating. Our custom self-adjusting algorithm ensures the hashrate remains as high as possible without letting temperatures run away.

Through extensive testing, we’ve developed a system to quantify heat absorption efficiency, which we call the ‘Hash Value’. This metric represents the average hashrate over a 3-hour benchmark while maintaining a target temperature of 55°C. The results reveal how different items interact with the hotplate:

• Bare Hotplate: With nothing on it, the unit achieves a hash value of approximately 60 GH/s, as the limited heat dissipation keeps the temperature stable.
• Enamel Coffee Cup (Full of Coffee): The heat absorption properties of a full coffee cup enable the hotplate to operate at around 330 GH/s, maintaining the same 55°C target. Different cups/mugs have different hash values.
• Large Heatsink + Fan: By rapidly pulling heat away from the surface, this setup pushes the hashrate to an impressive 650+ GH/s at 55°C.

These tests highlight an important principle: the faster you can dissipate heat from the hotplate, the higher the achievable hashrate.
