Introducing the GekkoScience Compac A1 Miner & IcePac Fan Package!

We’re thrilled to launch the first product of the GekkoScience Miner Generation 2024: the GekkoScience Compac A1. This cutting-edge stick miner is powered by two Bitmain BM1362 ASICs, the same efficient 7nm chips used in the Bitmain S19j Miner Series. Expect top-tier performance with low power consumption, setting a new standard for home mining.

Key Features:

• High Efficiency: The Compac A1 achieves an average of 560 GH/s at standard settings with minimal power use. These ASICs have a wide clock speed range, making them perfect for dynamic scenarios like pairing with a small solar power system. Plus, there’s ample potential for overclocking with adequate cooling. We know this speed can be pushed more, we are in the early days of testing!
• Power Consumption: Enjoy over 30% less power consumption compared to the Compac F, making it an eco-friendly choice without compromising on performance. The main controller can handle up to 20 watts, allowing you to push the ASICs to their limits.
• Advanced Telemetry: Finally, Sidehack & Kano (the author of the GekkoScience drivers for CGMiner software) have included a comprehensive telemetry package:
  • Software monitoring of temperature
  • Software voltage regulation during operation
  • Software clock rate adjustments during operation
  • API access to all telemetry data

This opens up a wide range of applications, from connecting to a small solar power system to temperature-controlled greenhouse heating and beyond.

Design and Compatibility:

• Integrated Fan Socket: The Compac A1 features a 2-pin fan socket, compatible with previous snap-on coolers such as our very own ‘IcePac’,  eliminating the need for additional USB splitters.
• Future-Ready: As the first product in the new GekkoScience A series, the Compac A1 is just the beginning. Look forward to the upcoming pod miner (R909 successor) and a high-power blade miner in the 1 kW class, all featuring expanded telemetry functions like full monitoring of input/output power, multiple temperature channels, and software-supported fan control.

Software:

To date, CGMiner & the A1 drivers are avaialble for Linux. Windows and Mac iterations will follow in due course. The SmartHub supports the A1 sticks already.
