The Solo Mining Co' and home Bitcoin Mining...Where it all began...

Updated: Dec 5, 2023

In 2013 I discovered something called "Bitcoin" and the derivates of it (Litecoin, Feathercoin , "OtherNowExtinct" Shitcoins!)...

I was immediatley hooked. I knew I had to build a miner and I knew I had to be involved. So that's what I did. I warmed up the credit card and got spending. I built a GPU mining rig, and another and another. Before I knew it, I had sold the crypto' dream to close friends who also quickly got involved. They too had rigs before long!

My first GPU Mining Rig. It was a fun build!

One of the other GPU Rigs. House was like a sauna!

Since then, I have been an avid trader, HODLer and very much into home bitcoin mining. I have built various iterations of mining rigs, designed and coded front ends for some of the solo miners on the market today as well as taken inspiration from the many many projects found in the wild today. For me, mining is not a hobby, its a passion. This is why 'The Solo Mining Co'' exists.

I’m late to the party and took the long route through getting rug-pulled via a crypto scam, then diving into shit coins and getting me wallet hacked. I finally found bitcoin; went down the rabbit hole and have never looked back.

Home & solo mining makes absolute sense. We can buy sats or we can pay for electricity and mine sats. I love the fact that anyone can hook-up a miner, every miner extends the network along with increasing decentralisation,, every sat earned is non KYC and we get the opportunity to hit a block every 10 mins.

Looking forward to delivery of a Bitaxe Gamma so I can add 1TH to the overall global hash rate!
